New photos here from a week my wife and I just spent in Fiji. What an amazing place! We stayed the week on a small island resort called Royal Davui near Beqa Island. We did some scenic flights, village visits, snorkeling and general relaxing. We were lucky to have beautiful weather in what’s normally the wet season for Fiji.

I took a few mornings over Christmas to photograph this ship wreck at Dicky’s Beach Caloundra. A 5D2 2 second exposure, hard keeping that tripod steady while your sinking into the sand…
I was driving home from a commercial job the other day when I spotted this place in the distance. A nice place near Jandowea, Qld.
Also thought some might like to see the original. I was after more punch, so I added an infrared BW layer, then blended using multiply. A bit of dodging and burning and here’s the result.
The scenery around Dalby, Chinchilla and the Western Downs is looking magnificent with crops like this. Perfect time of the year for a country drive. For a library of Australian rural stock photos and many more images like this, dont forget to check out the www.australian-image.com.au website.
A few highlights from a heli flight around Goondiwindi and Texas. Beautiful conditions after a few days of storms.

Here’s a short clip from a recent trip through the Bogong High Plains in Victoria. I started the journey in Bright and worked my way down through the Bogong High Plains, ending up in Omeo. What a stunning part of Aus through autumn!
Gear used was the 7D + 17-40, 24-70, 70-200, Miller tripod and a glidetrack slider. Edited in FCP and Magic Bullet.I found the glidetrack slider difficult to use especially when trying to achieve a slow, subtle move. Getting a smooth consistent shot is a challenge.
This is the first work I’ve done on the 7D and I’m loving it much more as a video camera than a stills camera – you can really tell Canon had this in mind when they built it. I could have filmed with the 5D but wanted to see how the 7D performed in comparison. Love this camera.
While working on an Aerial photoshoot today I captured these images south of Goondiwindi.
