Anybody been to Silverton? I would recommend it! You would know the old shack on red dust image that has been photographed a BILLION times by every big name in photography, so I decided not to shoot that one!

Portraits for WHK

I was asked to create portrait images for an accounting & financial planning company, emphasizing a unique quality or interest of each of their principal accountants. 12 months in the making but here are the results! All images were cutout then placed over local or stock images, some are better than others but I’m fairly happy with the results.

Digging out old images

Going through some images I haven’t even looked at properly from a trip to the Kimberley in 08 … found this one and thought it was a nice vertical. A bird in the Pentecost River near El Questro.

Noosa Rocks… seriously it really rocks!

Just a quick snap here from Noosa last week. Movement in the water could have been better, but I seem to always be in a rush these days which doesn’t help! Taken on the 5D2 with a polarizer.

Here’s some footage I took recently at a mates farm near Dalby in Qld. This video stuff is all new to me (and a bit more frustrating & time consuming than stills!) so any comments or suggestions are appreciated. Please watch in HD in vimeo…much better!

I’ve just finished going through shots from a recent photo shoot with Live to Ride Motorcycle Tours. They are a new tour business in Toowoomba that can take you anywhere in style – on a Harley! Talk to Marty or Mick if you’d like to trip anywhere on a bike, they’ll even take you to Birdsville and back!

Insane dust storm

Yesterday most of the eastern side of Australia was hit with a massive dust storm, pretty amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it, thick orange skies at 10 in the morning! The images I got look really over photoshopped, they were basically sepia shots strait out of the camera. Here’s some panoramic shots from the 5D MkII.

5D MkII is back!

Its great to have a camera again… especially the 5D MkII! I’ve been wanting to do some more HDR work, so did some practice on this dozer image. Pretty happy with the results.

Stolen!

To keep you all informed, I wont have any photos to post for a LONG time…Last weekend ALL of my camera gear stolen from my car, $12000 worth! Both my 5D’s, all my lenses, tripod and stuff was ALL STOLEN. It is seriously my worst nightmare. Luckily it was all insured… If anyone has a spare 5D MkII lying around, let me know!
