Insane dust storm

Yesterday most of the eastern side of Australia was hit with a massive dust storm, pretty amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it, thick orange skies at 10 in the morning! The images I got look really over photoshopped, they were basically sepia shots strait out of the camera. Here’s some panoramic shots from the 5D MkII.

5D MkII is back!

Its great to have a camera again… especially the 5D MkII! I’ve been wanting to do some more HDR work, so did some practice on this dozer image. Pretty happy with the results.

Stolen!

To keep you all informed, I wont have any photos to post for a LONG time…Last weekend ALL of my camera gear stolen from my car, $12000 worth! Both my 5D’s, all my lenses, tripod and stuff was ALL STOLEN. It is seriously my worst nightmare. Luckily it was all insured… If anyone has a spare 5D MkII lying around, let me know!

Autumn Leaves, Armidale

I’ve finnaly got my hands on a the 5D Mk II, and havent been disapointed – its an amazing camera. This is my first image with the MkII taken nearby Armidale.

Fraser Island Trip

I managed to make it to Fraser Island last week- taking photos, fishing and 4×4ing. The perfect holiday in my opinion (apart from the killer horse flies, breakdowns, a flat car battery, and getting bogged on the beach at midnight) All that aside, I managed to get some great shots of the island and fresh water lakes. The above shot is Lake McKenzie, its an absolute magnet for European tourists (which unfortunately needed to be removed from the photograph) More shots to come…

Cape Leveque

Cape Leveque in WA - In my opinion, would have to be the best beach location in Australia. Where else do you get red rock & pearl white sand joining crystal clear blue waters?? This image is one I’ve found from my recent trip to the Kimberleys in July last year. Its making a great canvas print too.
